Trip to Lake of the Ozarks April 11, 2010

Things I noticed this trip to the Lake:

1.  Domenico’s has the best clam chowder I have ever eaten in my entire life.

2.  The weather the week before and the week after I go to the Lake will always be beautiful, with 80 degree days, sunshine, no wind and unicorns prancing around…the week I go it will rain, it will be in the 50’s or low 60’s and every plant and flower will be in bloom so my allergies are at their finest!  Kleenex and claritin anyone??

3.  When you are originally from Osage Beach or Eldon, you are not ghetto, you know nothing about gangs, you’ve never been shot at or been carjacked, you’ve never seen a drug deal go bad…the Lake is not like Jennings, so dress, walk, talk and act appropriately.  Do not have a tattoo across your neck that reads “Baby Dad”, do not give “gang signs” out of a purple Cavalier…btw, are you part of the Highway 5-4 gang at the Lake or the Eldon Enemies?  So lame and hard to look at coming out of a Target store…Please be yourself, not a wannabe!  Can I get an “amen” on that one??

4.  You get nothing handed to you…when you order a hamburger, ask for cheese and ketchup if you want it; if you order a shake, ask for a spoon and straw…apparently the people who work in these “restaurants” are mildly retarded, rode the short bus to work and don’t understand the word “assume”…well, let me use it in a sentence people….I ordered a hamburger from Wendy’s and I just assumed you’d give me a top and bottom bun with my order.  A-s-s-u-m-e.

Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time there in between the dummies…it’s hard to be so perfect!!  xoxo Megan
